Veteran broadcaster Ben Tulfo also known as Bitag came face-to-face with the suspect who admittedly spread explicit photos and videos of the woman she met and had a relationship with through online games.
Through an entrapment operation headed by Special Operations Unit of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) together with Bitag Team, the culprit identified as Jeffrey Dizon was captured.
According to the victim only identified as Maria, she met Jeffrey Dizon through an online game last year and could not help but fall in love with his sweet nothings. Out of so much love, Maria was also convinced to send explicit photos and videos of herself to Jeffrey despite being married to her husband.
But everything changed when Dizon started demanding Maria to break up with her husband; this is when Maria decided to cut affairs with Dizon. But instead of ending their affair peacefully, Dizon started threatening her to spread her explicit photos and videos on social media.
What’s worse is that Dizon uploaded the x-rated photos and videos using the Facebook account of Maria child.
“Pag hindi daw ako bumalik sa mister ko o pag sa iba ako bumali, guguluhin niya ako,” Maria narrated.
“Two days (ago) po nag sabi sa’kin si Jeff na text ko na daw siya ulit kasi wala na daw yung misis niya,” she said adding that Jeffrey is demanding to see her so they could both check in a motel.
After the entrapment operation, Bitag was able to confront the suspect who immediately admitted his offense. When asked if he is taking an illegal substance, Jeffrey strongly denied it and expressed his willingness to undergo a drug testing to prove that he is not using an illegal substance.
On the other hand, Ben Tulfo criticized the mainstream media for presenting the story in a different manner putting Maria in a bad light and gaining criticism from netizens.
He said that that the mainstream media presented it in a way that people would end up blaming Maria for sending nude photos to Jeffrey, where in fact, it was the suspect that should be criticized for his perverted attitude.
Ben Tulfo also slammed the mainstream media, particularly the broadcasting giant ABS-CBN for not even citing credits to his program who took action to capture the suspect.
“Eksklusibong istorya po ito sa Bitag Kilog Pronto… ang siste ho kasi parang lumabas ang balita na ito na parang akala mo lang news lang na ang babae nagloko, si mister niloko…” Tulfo said.
“Itong storya po kasi na ito parang naging negatibo ang dating gawa nga nung kalokohan ng ABS-CBN. Hindi ko maintindihan kung kabobohan ho sa presentatsyon nila ng istorya na hindi pa inayos. Binahagi na nga sakanila, hindi pa nagsabing ‘salamat Bitag ha?’” he added.
