This is what veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo has to say after the viral story of the irresponsible hospital who did not assist a patient who is in critical condition reached his attention.
On July 10, 2018, Facebook user Rhina Paraon Pigar shared how Clinica Antipolo Hospital Wellness Center neglected her son’s situation.
According to Rhina, after her son was gunned by the then-unidentified suspect, they rushed him to the said hospital that did not have any doctor on duty to attend to the patient’s emergency needs. The hospital staff kept ensuring them that a doctor is on his way and that they do not need to worry as her son is in good condition. But after almost 3 hours of waiting, no doctors arrived until Rhina’s son’s last breath.
During her interview with Raffy Tulfo, mommy Rhina revealed that her son Michael Eniquez is a security guard.
She also revealed that upon admitting Michael at Clinica Antipolo, hospital staff made her sign lots of paper works and even asked about her source of income to make sure they can pay the hospital bills, the staff even briefed her about the cost of being under Intensive Care Unit.
The program tried to reach Clinica Antipolo but they refused to be interviewed on TV and just sent the program their official statement about the incident.
“Nagpadala ng statement ang Clinica Antipolo… Hindi raw sila Diyos, wow! Nakakapikon ‘to ah! Hindi raw sila Diyos at condolence at pagdadasal nalang daw nila ang namatay, wow! Golly!” Tulfo said while reading the hospital’s statement.
