The inflation rate, Senator Antonio Trillanes’ amnesty revocation, destabilization plot, peso-dollar rate, typhoon preparedness, political sabotage… these are just some of the many controversies being faced right now by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Amidst the left and right controversies, a lot President Duterte’s supporters particularly those active in the online community took time to express their undying support for the President during hard times like this.

One of these Duterte Diehard Supporters (DDS) who want to send love to the President and lambast his critics in a good way, just like what the famous Filipino saying goes “Kapag binato ka ng bato, batuhin mo ng tinapay”.

Instead of arguing with these haters and critics, the online DDS army re-shared one of the epic achievements of the President and this is his recent historic trip in Jordan.

Davao City-based Facebook user  Travis Troy Villarba Rondina shared a video of President Duterte’s arrival in Jordan during his historic visit in the said country last week. Duterte is the first Filipino President to step foot in Jordan to have a state visit and sit down with the government to sign on beneficial agreements.

The 8-minute video clip shows how the Filipino President was warmly welcomed in Jordan complete with red carpet and Military Guard of Honor.

The same warm welcome was done during Duterte’s arrival at Al Husseinieh Palace to meet King Abdullah II of Jordan. Both leaders and attend a ceremony prepared by the Jordan government and signed several agreements concerning defense cooperation, labor, Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) welfare, foreign affairs, and trade & investment which will be beneficial for both countries.

But the President did not just have a grandiose welcome in the said country as he proudly went back to the Philippines with a total of US$ 143.6 million worth of investments from Jordan, US$ 82.9 million of which are from his meetings in Israel and US$ 60.7 million from meetings Jordan.

On top of that, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also confirmed that during his historic visit, President Duterte was able to sign three memorandums of agreement, 11 memorandums of understanding, and seven letters of intent during his stay in Israel while another two memorandums of understanding and eight letters of intent in Jordan.
