A netizen was able to record a video of what seemed to be a brewing tornado somewhere in Marikina.
The weather in a tropical country such as the Philippines is really unpredictable. According to records, an average of 20 typhoons enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility every year, with five of them expected to be destructive.
Today, people are advised to stay safe and be inside their homes as much as possible due to the super typhoon that already entered the country’s premises.
The super typhoon that entered the area of responsibility was named Ompong. According to the reports of the country’s weather bureau, PAGASA, Typhoon Ompong made a landfall at around 1:40 am this Saturday, at the Cagayan province in Northern Luzon.
The storm brought strong winds and rains as soon as it reached the PAR. According to reports, the maximum sustained winds of Ompong had reached 270 kilometers per hour.

Due to the strong winds and heavy brain brought by the typhoon, many houses, signages, and other structures were badly affected by Ompong.
In the city of Tuguegarao, the heavy rain already caused an ankle-deep flood in the area.
In some places, fallen debris of destroyed structures are seen flying and was scattered around the area.
On Friday, parts of Luzon were already under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 4. Most of the government officials had already suspended classes and work to keep everyone safe.
Recently, a Youscooper named John Clyde Palacios sent a video to the GMA News. He caught on camera a seemingly brewing tornado somewhere in Marikina. From the background, you could actually hear the announcement of the authorities regarding the storm surge. According to the source, the incident happened at around 5:40 in the afternoon. The strong winds reportedly caused some trees to be pulled out from their roots and some structures were destroyed.
Many netizens are concerned about the country’s current state of calamity. While those netizens who believe in the Almighty commented that this is a manifestation of the incoming “final judgment.”
Nevertheless, this is a reminder to everyone to always keep safe in times of environmental disturbance. Everyone is advised to avoid outdoor activities during the bad weather, especially now that the super typhoon is assumed to bring severe destruction in the country. Always be ready in case an emergency happens.
