This is the cry of Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta after the preliminary investigation hearing at the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the numerous Dengvaxia victim complaints.

Acosta also revealed that Sanofi – the pharmaceutical company that manufactured the anti-dengue vaccine declared that the vaccine is still under clinical trial and has fatal risks before it was given to thousands of students during the Aquino government’s mass vaccination program.
Acosta said during an interview after the hearing.
“Meron pa lang apat na identified fatal risk ito sa kanilang clinical trial 1 and 2 at hanggang clinical trial phase 3 pa noong November 2017, bakit 2016 nag-bakuna na sila?” she added.
In line with this, Acosta said that they already urged the Supreme Court to form a special court and assign at least two trial courts to handle the criminal and civil case amidst the arising fatality toll related to Dengvaxia.
Acosta also confirmed that they will file another ten new Dengvaxia-related cases in DOJ this coming October 30, 2018, this concerns another fatality incident of a child who passed away after receiving the anti-Dengue vaccine in Cebu.

Meanwhile, protesters composed of parents and family members of Dengvaxia victims also flock outside DOJ during the said preliminary investigation to demonstrate their call for DOJ Secretary Francisco Duque III to resign from his post.
The protesters claim that Duque continuously implements the Dengvaxia vaccination program despite the risk involved and despite the number of victims of the said vaccine.
