Pagdadamot ng isang doktor sa pagpapagamit ng ambulansya, binunyag ng isang nagngangalit na netizen!

An ambulance is a vehicle specially designed for transporting sick or injured people to and from the hospital, especially during emergency cases to avoid the aggravation of a patient’s illness or injury.

It plays a vital role in health services as an ambulance is not like an ordinary vehicle; it carries appropriate life-saving equipment for the comfort of the patient.

An ambulance is also equipped with sirens and flashing warning lights to indicate that the patient carried by this vehicle needs to be transported in the nearest hospital as soon as possible. In many cases, the efficiency of an ambulance can make or break a patient’s survival.

Doctors, on the other hand, no matter what their specializations are expected to respond to emergency cases and attend to patient’s needs at all times. That is why a netizen outraged on social media after an irresponsible doctor refused to let them use the community hospital’s ambulance vehicle for their emergency case.

According to Facebook user Merced Dequinto, a certain Doctor Gabante in Moises Padilla medical clinic in Negros Occidental did not let them use the ambulance so they can transport their sick loved one in a hospital in Bacolod City.

Apparently, the patient was diagnosed with dengue – a severe deadly disease acquired through mosquito bites. It turns out that the patient’s platelet drops to 45 while her white blood cell count drops to 1.0 which means she needed an immediate medical attention before her condition got worst.

However, the arrogant Doctor Gabante did not let them use the ambulance and argued that it is only for emergency use. Good thing, Isabela’s National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) was kind enough to offer their vehicle leading the patient to be transported to Bacolod City for immediate medical treatment.

In the end, Merced expresses her gratitude to Isabela’s NDRRMC team and to the officials of Barangay Tinongan who also extended help in transporting their patient.
